These tips apply
whether you are interviewing for an internship or
a full time permanent position.
- Prepare for the interview by trying to get some
information about the company (check out their
web site if available). The University
Career Center office may have some information.
- Research 2-3 questions to ask
- Dress professionally
- Be on time - come 10-15 minutes early
- Bring a good quality copy of your resume with
you: the interviewer may have one that has been
faxed and copied many times
- Bring copies of any letters of recommendation
and a list of references with names and phone numbers
- Technical skills notwithstanding, all employers
like to see confidence, friendliness and enthusiasm,
especially when considering people for internships
or entry level positions
- Relax and enjoy the conversation with your potential
employer
