The College Preparation Workshop Series offers local high school students an opportunity to gain important information on applying to and planning for the college experience and explore research and careers in science and technology. Participants will take part in workshops, laboratory tours, team-based projects and so much more! The program is free!!

Choosing the right college and writing the personal essay don’t need to be hard! Get useful tips from admissions professionals!

SAT Preparation
The SAT has changed—but don’t worry! Experts will provide you with the inside scoop on how to ace the test!

Financing Your College Education
Not sure how you’re going to pay for college? Let financial aid professionals tell you about the many ways to pay for your college education!

Afternoon Workshop Sessions

Exploring Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics
Participate in workshops, team-based projects, laboratory tours, and demonstrations on exciting applications of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

Being a University of Maryland Undergraduate
Meet University of Maryland-College Park college students and learn techniques and strategies on succeeding in college

Careers and Research in Mathematics and Science
The SAT has changed—but don’t worry! Experts will provide you with the inside scoop on how to ace the test!

Financing Your College Education
Not sure where a college degree in math or science can actually get you? Want to learn more about cutting-edge research? Learn about opportunities in math and science through research and industry!

All sessions are 8:30 a.m.—4:00 p.m.
Lunch will be provided. Participants will need to arrange transportation to and from the University of Maryland campus
