Position: Web Developer
Description: Fig Leaf Software is a premier Web design, development, and training company serving a broad range of clients from the public and private sectors. During the last fourteen years our consulting practice has helped hundreds of organizations become more effective through the application of web and database technologies while our training group has instructed more than 20,000 professionals about the nuances that comprise excellent web design and application programming.
Candidates for this position would be required to have a wide range of skills, as well as the ability to learn new technologies, skills and techniques independently and quickly. The position requires an expert level of development skills, and candidates will be required to act as technical lead on all projects, including but not limited to Rich Internet Applications and framework/API development. Fig Leaf Software is a faced paced environment where developers are in charge of their own projects. Candidates would be required to provide time estimates for work, status updates, and deliverables to the client. Candidates will be responsible for on-time delivery, as well as learning new technologies and tools, should the need arise.
Candidates should expect to work on projects using other many tools and technologies, including but not limited to, Flash, FLEX, ColdFusion, ASP, .NET, JavaScript, HTML, and others. This position requires an individual that has a strong programming background, excellent problem-solving skills, and strong leadership qualities. Candidates should also expect to have direct contact with clients regarding technical issues, status, and deliverables, so strong interpersonal skills are also a must. Specification writing skills are a plus.
Hourly Rate/Salary: $15 an hour
Start/ End Date: June 2–End of August
Preferred Major: Computer Science
G.P.A. Requirement: 3.0+
Student Qualifications/Skills: Course work that has experience in JAVA and at least an understanding of SQL are a must. Candidate will be put through beginner and advanced ColdFusion training and given independent projects to work on as required.
