Job Description:
GlobalNet Services, Inc. [GNSI] is looking for a summer intern with the goal of a career in software development or testing.
An automation tester designs, develops, and maintains test automation systems and expandable suites containing multiple automation scripts. They are responsible for utilizing innovative technologies to implement a testing strategy, and facilitating the creation and execution of automated test suites.
You will be encouraged to take ownership of your assignments and to seek creative solutions to common testing challenges such as multiple testing environments, regression testing, and testing strategies for new features.

Skills Required:
- Attention to detail
- Exceptional programming, debugging, and testing skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Skilled in object oriented design
- Hands on experience with multiple programming languages, XML and SQL databases
- Understands functional testing methodologies and principles
- Works well independently and as part of a team
- Able to apply creativity and innovation to problems
Responsibilities will include:
- Develop and execute automated test scenarios and scripts
- Implementation of software tests using automation tools
- Work with other QA professionals on project teams to accomplish Internship goals
- Maintain the automation test environment
- Generate weekly status report
- Own and drive the development and execution of new test automation suites
- Evaluate manual tests, create code for automation, document the new code, participate in automation code reviews, run the test suites, and record the results
Hourly Rate/Salary:
$15.00 to $20.00 per hour depending on experience
Start/ End Date:
June 1, 2009 through mid-August 2009

Computer Science
G.P.A. Requirement:
3.0
Student Qualifications/Skills:
Must have completed sophomore year and have relevant course work. Prior related internships or work experience is desirable.
