Internship Position: Jr. Java Developer

Job Description: Overture is a fast-growing, cutting-edge technology company serving the Mortgage and Higher Education industries. We have designed and built our own programming environment for business users, and we use this as the foundation for our industry-specific applications. These applications perform complex analyses to make determinations about, among other things, student and home loan eligibility and pricing.

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Participate and help in the design activities of software development
  • Test and debug software and deliver to directing developer for system integration and test
  • Develop and maintain software modules of moderate to large size and complexity
  • Assist in the development of prototype versions of software modules and applications
  • Participate in design and code reviews

Hourly Rate/Salary: $10/hour

Start/End Date: June 1st–August 15th

Preferred Major: Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Technology

G.P.A. Requirement: 3.0

Student Qualifications/Skills: Java programming, strong communication and problem solving skills, strong initiative, ability to learn quickly and work with a team or independently.
