1. Gifts to the University can be made through a mix of the following options:
   • Mail
   • Online
   • Check
   • Credit card
   • Transfer of assets (e.g. stock, real estate)
   • Multi-year pledge
   • Planned gifts, including CRUT’s and bequests



2. Gifts can be either for spendable funds, or to support an endowment. New endowments will always be memorialized in an MOU between the University and the donor(s).



3. Checks should be made out to the University of Maryland College Park Foundation, and the memo line should specify where the gift is targeted (e.g. CMPS Dean’s operating fund). Online gifts should also specify where the gift is targeted.
