Numerous foundations, corporations, and public agencies invest nearly $90 million annually in research projects in the College of Computer, Mathematical and Physical Sciences at the University of Maryland. These projects are supervised by CMPS faculty, who are national and international leaders in their fields. The broad expertise of the College’s faculty, coupled with a dynamic research atmosphere, helps to generate the intellectual and technological tools that our society uses to investigate scientific questions, solve technical problems and shape our country's future.
